Mary O'Malley Founder & Owner  M.A., ET/P

I'm Mary O'Malley, M.A., ET/P. I've been an educational therapist, coach, and lifelong learner for nearly two decades.

Green Door Learning, LLC started in 2007 as a literacy remediation practice. It has since grown into a company that moves individuals toward freedom, expression, and awareness. For my clients, my colleagues, and for me.

I work with school-age kids and C-suite executives. I coach adults navigating ADHD, learning differences, and the particular chaos of being a capable person in an overwhelming world. I work with couples to build systems that can flex and sustain through life's transitions. I have worked with hospital staff and school teams. What connects all of it is a belief that when people can understand how they think, everything changes. I like making the invisible visible.

I hold a Master's degree, an ET/P credential, a College Counseling Certificate from UCLA, and a certificate in Neurodiversity and Learning Disabilities with a specialization in Executive Functioning from Landmark College. I've taught in public and private schools, instructed college courses at LMU and Landmark College, and written curriculum for executive functioning and organization. I'm an active member of the AET and stay current with research because the field keeps moving and so do I.

Before I started GDL, I kept catching myself saying to clients, "My door is always open… We're opening doors to success… Let's walk through that door and see…" and other meaningful but sort of cheesy cliches. Since I started GDL, the meaning has stayed consistent but the cliches have lessened in part because I have a company that embodies the vision I was trying to convey. One where there is always opportunity. One where learning never stops. One where the possibilities are endless.

People find Green Door Learning from all over the world, at all kinds of crossroads. What they tend to have in common is that they're ready to think differently, to build something that works for them and their context, and to experiment, have fun, and learn while doing it. If that's you, you're in the right place.

I'd love to meet you. Let's do this.
